calendrier semis pois bio

Soil maintenance: cool soil (not soaked, as the swollen seed rots). Dry or chalky soil will make the seeds hard.

Exposure : sunny.

Sowing : 3 to 4 cm deep, one seed every 5 cm or in stacks of 4 seeds every 15 cm.

Emergence: in 6 to 9 days. After emergence: aerate your ground (surfacing) around your seedlings (avoid weediness). Cultivate the plants 2 weeks after emergence.

Watering: water before sowing, little after emergence. Peas need water during flowering and grain formation but they fear excess moisture.

Harvest: 60 days after sowing.

Conservation: 2 days in the vegetable bin, once shelled they must be consumed quickly.

Origin : it is cultivated in Europe since the Vllle century. Until the Renaissance, it is consumed mainly in its dried form.
